Unalaska

Hello,

Here we are, arrived at Dutch Harbor where we are going to make our official entrance in Alaska. What happens since a few days is just magnificent and magic. It has been 20 days since we left Japan, as expected I was sick half of the way. I did not find the cross much interesting, it is long, boring, it rocks , I spent most of the time lying ... but altogether it's not as bad as I had imagined. You remember that I was sad to give up The Aleutians, this boat which was supposed to go directly to Sitka . Well, as says Paolo Coelho in the Alchemist, when we really want something, all the universe conspires to make us obtain it. The wind pushed us on Adak , where I was originally going 🙂 A moment of pure happiness, the magic of discovering the islands after two weeks at sea and finally be in the Aleutians. When we arrived in Adak , we were welcomed by Elaine , a woman of the most extraordinary , we had hardly put a foot on the ground that she already invited us to take a hot shower ( over a week we had not taken a shower, because of salt-off filter which stopped working ). At her home, we saw eggs of gulls, tasted seal … I told her I thought of leaving the boat to Dutch Harbor or Kodiak and she immediately gave me the address and phone of her mom who lives in Kodiak and to whom I can stay if I go there. The next day I go out of the boat to go for a ride in the hope of seeing eagles, and there a guy on his quad passing at the same moment suggests me going to take a ride to another bay . I saw several eagles and just when we returned to the boat, another settled on the bottom side in front of us, sublime. And now we arrive at Dutch, it has been two days since I watch for the horizon to see whales and it is at least about ten that welcome us here in the bay, amazing, there were everywhere !.. I do not even speak of landscapes which are magnificent too, there is still some snow on the mountains, which returns the even more beautiful show.  Here, you 'll understand that I'm already in love with Alaska 🙂
